Wetsuit color for models

  1. Hi all, weird question. Anyone have an opinion about what color a wetsuit should have for models? What about stripes on it?

  2. For the colour of dive gear in general, avoid bright colours such as pink and yellow. They have a tendancy to "burn" (for a lack of a better word) the colour into the water surrounding the colour. You get a pink or yellow halo around the coloured bits.

In my opinion, in tropical waters, models(especially female models) shouldnt wear wetsuits.

  3. agreed .. but if they are to wear wetsuits then depends on what depth you are at .. although most recommend skins rather than wetsuits .. models aren't paid to be warm !

black is classic .. but boring ... some red wetsuits actually show up nicely .. blue is what everyone has.

my opinion is that anything is good .. and if you look at all classic dive photos those hot pinks and yellows actually worked very well .. i dont know so much about the burn effect but it makes sense ... my problem with those colour is it looks dated .. have a look in wet suit catalogues and see what the trends are .. they change regularly and i think a goiod model photo is either no wetsuit or showing off what people wear 'today' or 'tomorrow' that way you have reason to take more and maybe even sell more.
