125 Strobes vs. Xenon 35 globes

I am soon to acquire a Ike housing for my 20D, but after visiting an outdoor and dive expo this weekend, noticed a new development in Xenon underwater lighting being sold specifically for underwater photography and videography. The Xenon lighting is superb, but am now torn between the tried and tested 125 strobe and this alternative. I would appreciate thoughts on this, and considering the cost involved, research before purchase is critical.

Strobes put out a lot of light in a short time - while your shutter is open.

Strobe light has a high color rendition index (CRI). Xenon video lights do not.

Strobe light is 5,000k a nice pleasing temp.

DS125 Strobes will TTL with your Ikelite 20D housing.
