2 quick questions - diopters and AF speed

3 posts
  1. I am heading off for warmer waters in a month or so. I have the d70 (and a d70s), Aquatica housing with 8" dome, I would rather only buy one diopter for the 18-70, does anyone know if I need the +3 or would it be the +4???

I also have the 105mm and I realize the AF is 'slower' than the 60mm. Do I want a 60mm also or will it just sit in my bag.

    Thanks, these forums are fantastic!

  2. I doubt that you would use the 60mm much. Most of the times you would want the 60mm over the 105mm the 18-70 would cover your needs.

  3. I've got two 105's, but we seem to both want to use the 60mm.....it can do fish portraits or 1:1 macro on the same dive....especially with the Woody's diopter

The size of the macro critters you expect to shoot might influence your choice

Don't overlook the versatility of the 60mm
