Is the Nikon WP-CP4 housing discontinued?

The status of my order for the Nikon WP-CP4 housing for the Nikon Coolpix 5900/7900 camera on Amazon.com has gone from "In stock soon" to now "Unavailable".

It's been in out-of-stock-status on Adorama, B&H, J&R, and other places for over a month.

I've heard from some people that the WP-CP4 housing is discontinued. Is this true?

We've received no official notification that the WP-CP4's have been discontinued but we have had them on back order since August. They have been extremely difficult to obtain since their introduction in the spring. Get a shipment, months of back orders, get a shipment and back ordered once again. The CP 5900 has been discontinued so that leaves only the CP 7900 for this housing and it's life will soon be coming to an end as well. We do have stock on the WP-CP3's and WP-CP5's.

Thanks guys. I know there's a few other options, like the Ikelite model or the Fantasea model. Been trying to stick with the Nikon brand if possible but it's backordered everywhere. Good to hear at least that it hasn't officially been discontinued.
