Aquatica's unique design of the "M24" connector is significantly more reliable compared to the standard M24x1 thread. This enhanced safety feature was likely introduced by Val Ranetkins, the founder of Amphibico and Aquatica, and continues to be used in Aquatica's current production line. It's a well-engineered design—undeniably a bit more complex, but very effective. I had the pleasure of being a student of Val Ranetkins during my time at Amphibico, many years ago.
