Insta360 Ace Pro 2 add on lens/adaptor?
The AOI Lens is the one you should use…. AOI UWL-03-BLK You can use the standard one or the pro. The pro has real glas for less or no reflections of the sun (I guess). I used the Standard for video and its awesome. https://www.aoi-uw.com/products/wet-lenses/aoi-uwl-03-blk.html Depending on what action cam you use, they have mounts for GoPro, DJI and Insta360. It available in most shops around the world.

Canon V1
Nauticam just announced the housing… But do you see it as a real alternative to the last compact camera models? The biggest problem for me would be 16-50mm lens. Might be nice for wide angle videos but 50mm is very limiting for macro, isn’t it? Would be interested what you think 👍

Insta360 Ace Pro 2 - The First 8K AI Powered Action Cam
Well, comparison to GoPro, no question. But what about DJI osmo action 5 pro vs insta360 act pro 2? Yes I saw the video from Mathias Lebo. He says that the 8-bit color of insta360 is a minus in the rating.

Insta360 Ace Pro 2 - The First 8K AI Powered Action Cam
Thanks for sharing @Maria Munn ! I’m looking for a new action cam in combination with AOI wet lens. Comparing GoPro 13 and DJI Osmo Action 5 pro, I decided to buy the DJI. But I recognized there is another great player - insta360 ace pro 2. Checked many video reviews to see the color quality underwater. Both look great and much better compared to GoPro. DJI has I very dark contrast somehow. But which one is better, DJI or Insta360? 4K 60fps is good enough for me, which can perform both. Main difference I see right now is the 8-bit color (insta360) vs 10-bit color (DJI). 10-bit might be better for editing? What do you think, which one is the best action cam for diving on the market?

Waterpixels Compact Systems Specialist
Hi @Maria Munn , Nice to have a compact camera specialist here :) What do you think about the discontinue of compact cameras? It seems like no manufacturer is releasing new models anymore. (TG7 is not really an option without a full M mode) What do you see as future alternative to the old time favorites like G7x I-iii or rx100 I-vii? Please don’t say phones or action cams, since as soon as it comes to real macro, it’s not really good ;) Would be great to hear about your opinion - thank you :) Philipp

Quick Summary of Compact Camera Choices
Thanks for the detailed answer @bghazzal and @Chris Ross My current setup is a Sony a6400 with the 90mm 2.8 sony lens. Both are great quality, but with a crop of 1.5 the focal length is 135mm and that’s long for me :D also as I said I would like to have a smaller setup and less port changing, since I have to remove the port to remove the lens, before I can get the camera out of the housing… https://www.instagram.com/reel/DDKq9EAOPhD/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== https://www.instagram.com/reel/DI10kydt_3Q/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== What I read is, Sony Rx 100 vii is difficult for macro - couldn’t find a good reason online for that. Canon g7x iii is much better for macro… but that’s only what backscatter.com says. The topic with a button for white balance is true, would be great to have one, but do you use MW for macro video? I did all my videos with auto white balance. MW was only important for wide angle shots.
