Jeronimo “Jero” Prieto (@jerochucho) is the spark behind Pelagic Life, a Mexican nonprofit that’s been championing our open-ocean ecosystems since 2008. A passionate filmmaker and PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer, Jero’s teamed up with National Geographic, the BBC and Discovery Channel to bring the ocean’s stories to life. He directed the award-winning “México Pelágico” and is busy creating its sequel. Whether leading an expedition or crafting a documentary, Jero connects communities with the magic of the deep blue—one dive, one film and one adventure at a time.
