Anyone using Canon 8-15 With Sony / Seacam rig?
I heard back from Harald at Seacam. These were his port extension recommendations for the SD and FMP-C and the Canon 8-15mm with and without the Sony 2X TC. CANON EF 8-15mm > Metabones V adapter > Sony 2X TC > Sony camera: SD SUPERDOME + PVL75 PORTEXTENSION (20 + 25 + 30) CANON EF 8-15mm > Metabones V adapter > Sony camera: SD SUPERDOME + PVL45 PORTEXTENSION (20 + 25) CANON EF 8-15mm > Metabones V adapter > Sony 2X TC > Sony camera: FMP-C + PVL55 PORTEXTENSION (25 + 30) CANON EF 8-15mm > Metabones V adapter > Sony camera: FMP-C + PVL25 PORTEXTENSION (25) I have the necessary port extensions on hand so I went ahead and purchased the 8-15mm, Metabones V and Sony 2X TC. I intend to try these configurations when I go to Bonaire. I won't have a zoom gear, so I'll be setting the FL between dives and I'll see how these configurations perform for me.

Will do. Like you, I'd prefer a native lens option, but here we are.

Anyone using Canon 8-15 With Sony / Seacam rig?
Thanks Andrey. At the moment I'm leaning to getting the 8-15mm + Metabones V adapter + Sony 2x for my fast-approaching trip to Bonaire. I probably can't get a gear in time, but I'll be able to test the AF in some easy diving conditions.

Anyone using Canon 8-15 With Sony / Seacam rig?
Thanks for this, Chris. I'm going to reach out to Seacam today to ask about the extensions. For the FMP, I assume it will be PVL25 for 8-15 (according to Seacam Canon chart) + PVL25 for Metabones adapter + 27mm for the Sony 2X converter (thanks to @Fabian for posting the measurement interflange photos in this thread). I have a custom PVL57.5 from my previous Canon rig so adding a PVL20 to that should be close. Also thanks for the note about the compact dome. And when I reach out to Seacam, I'm going to ask about gears for this setup as well.

Anyone using Canon 8-15 With Sony / Seacam rig?
I am using a somewhat dated (very dated?) Sony A7R III / Seacam rig and after seeing the success some members are having with the Canon 8-15 I'm considering giving it a try. I was particularly intrigued by this thread where @jjmochi described using the 8-15 with a 2X TC to have a zoomable +/- 15-30mm. I'm wondering if anyone is using the 8-15mm with the 2X TC in a Seacam housing with a Seacam SD dome port. I use the Sony 28mm / Fisheye Converter in my current rig and it's a fine setup, but I'm looking for the versatility of a zoom if possible.
