About Me
Serious hobbyist. Retired ER physician. Certified in 1978 (yes, I'm old!), started taking pictures underwater in 1994 with a Nikonos V, then migrated to housed DSLRs. Suffered a devastating spinal cord injury in 2021. Have clawed my way back to walking. Last dive 2016 (had a trip planned in 2020, but then C-19 happened). Now going to get back into diving ("Get busy living or get busy diving" Shawshank Redemption"). So, after several years of intensive physical therapy, time to get back into the water with a D850 in a Nauticam housing. Previously I dove with D7200's in Nauticam housings. I had a radiology friend with a serious disability due to muscular dystrophy and who could barely walk on above water, but in the water was a fish (and a fabulous photographer). He is my inspiration. Thanks Matt!
