<p>Serious hobbyist. Retired ER physician. Certified in 1978 (yes, I'm old!), started taking pictures underwater in 1994 with a Nikonos V, then migrated to housed DSLRs. Suffered a devastating spinal cord injury in 2021. Have clawed my way back to walking. Last dive 2016 (had a trip planned in 2020, but then C-19 happened). Now going to get back into diving ("Get busy living or get busy diving" <em>Shawshank Redemption</em>"). So, after several years of intensive physical therapy, time to get back into the water with a D850 in a Nauticam housing. Previously I dove with D7200's in Nauticam housings. I had a radiology friend with a serious disability due to muscular dystrophy and who could barely walk on above water, but in the water was a fish (and a fabulous photographer). He is my inspiration.
