  1. Since a few years I (and also some friends around me) use 3-4 mm plastic fiberoptic cables. Like https://www.aliexpress.us/item/2251832630176580.html There are less prone to break, and it works w/o any issue (for me with Oly EM-1 mkII and Retra stobes) I just 3d print adapters, with inner diameter equal the cable outer diameter, and outer diameter same as Sea&Sea connectors.
  2. I have an EM-1 mk1 where the shutter stuck from time to time. Yes, some gentle knock on the body most of the time unstuck the shutter. I now usually use only the silent mode (that use only electronic shutter) on that body. But not flash compatible. This is acceptable as this is not my main body. I had a previous EM-1 mk1 with same issue, and I had to send it to repair for another reason, and after that shutter issue was fix and never happen again. This seems to be a common issue with Oly bodies 😞
  3. I had around two hundreds dives with Olympus 8mm on EM-1 mkII w/o any issue...
  4. I would rather dive in warm water 🙂 , but La Gravière du Fort is only one hour driving from home, whereas nearest sea is more than 7 hours... In summer, water is not cold. Up to 25°C at surface, and still more than 20°C at 10m (but around 8°C at 40m...) Winter with right equipment is still manageable. Dry suit and heating vest are welcome 🙂.
  5. Taken in "La Gravière du Fort". A pond in Alsace, France, near Strasbourg, managed by and dedicated to divers. Not as cool as some exotic places, but only one hour from home, and many friends there. Olympus EM-1 mkII with Olympus 8mm Fisheye in Nauticam housing and 2x Retra Pro Xnull
  6. Hello François, coming from France Happy to see this dynamic team continuing this very useful community. Diving since 30 years, taking underwater pictures since around 16 years. Living in Alsace, France, near the German and Switzerland borders, my usual diving place is "La Gravière du Fort", a nice lake dedicated to divers. I'm also active in the French Underwater Federation as an underwater photography trainer. I hope the best for Waterpixels future.
