  1. Sea & Sea MDX Underwater Housing for SONY A73 or A7R3 Reduced to $1900 includes the installed Sea & Sea Optical YS TTL Converter (Internal) Retail price: $4,025.90 Sale includes Housing with left and right arms, ttl converter and body cap, only. (Note that you will need to buy a port appropriate to your lens.) The housing is well maintained, never flooded, dropped or otherwise abused (although it is so solidly constructed it could probably be used to drive nails, or as a jack stand for a full sized sedan or mid-sized SUV!) The only real signs of wear are brassing (black finish worn thin) on bottom plate and corners due to rubbing in Pelican case, boat decks etc. The installed optical converter allows for ttl (through the lens) exposure metering to communicate with your strobes. Included in the sale is the SONY Hot Shoe Adapter Adp-maa. This is required to connect the Sea & Sea Optical Ys TTL Converter to the A7RIII hot shoe. The controls on this housing synch up with those of the SONY A7III and A7RIII, only. The A7III and A7RIII were the first to use the extended life Z battery, which is still used in the latest model A1ii. This battery is a breakthrough in improving mirrorless camera battery life to get closer to that of DSLRs. The implication is that you do not have to open the housing to replace the battery after each dive. The SONY model A7RIII’s high resolution sensor and processor still compare favorably with later models. Reduced to $1900.

We did a Bonfire dive on BON with Martijn of Twilight Diving - Private and Personalized Night Diving Trips in Bonaire. Good guy and a fun dive. Similar to blackwater but done from shore in 40 feet of water. Not as many critters as we've seen in offshore blackwater dives, but still a lot of larvae and much more convenient.

I don't believe it is a Humboldt, as I think they are quite large. This one was roughly 8-10 inches, not counting the extended tentacles. It was hunting in our lights during a night dive in Dominica.

I still have a very nice WetPixel tee shirt obtained at a trade show many years ago. Possibly designed by Eric?
