I am used with the TTL function that I had on my Oly 5060+FL-20 combination. But now those days are over and a new Cannon 350d is in the mail...
I know that an Ikelite hosusing with ike substrobe flash offers full TTL function so thats combination stands out as an attractive alternative.
But lately there has been released a whole bunch of housings of other makes. Does any of theese have the same TTL performance as the Ike+substrobe combination?
/Jonas
The Ikelite is the only one.
Hi Jonas,
Here you'll find a list of housings currently available for the 350D:
The Sea&Sea housing+strobes may offer TTL control, but I'm not sure... Other housings are also likely to offer this functionality. Best is to send an inquiry to the respective manufacturers if you can't find the info on their websites.
Cheers,
Mat
Currently the only ready made TTL solution is the Ikelite housing
I'm sure this works well but it will take some tinkering to get it to work. The Ikelite solution is pretty slick right out of the box. Unless you have some specific reason to look elsewhere (huge investment in older strobes, just have to have aluminum) I'd go for the Ikelite.

I´m starting from scratch so the ikelite solution looks very attractive. All the new housingreleases just got me thinking about my alternatives.
I bought the Ikelite 350D housing + 2 DS-125 strobes and have not been disappointed with the exposure levels.
Both Watershot and Patima have announced housings for the Speedlight 580EX as well as housings for the 350D which would obviously give you e-ttl2. I have no idea how this flash would perform underwater but it's definitely of interest, especially if you're already using it topside.
