Lembeh Slide Show

  1. Hi folks,

After weeks of procrastinating, I finally finished my slide show from my Indonesia trip in July.

    Here is the link. http://www.photodex.com/sharing/viewshow.h...l=2430476&alb=0

As I recall some of you had trouble loading the file from the link, so here is the manual way to view the show.

    1. Go to www.photodex.com

    2. At the top, click on "on-line sharing"

    3. In the "member" box, type "kelpfish" and hit enter

    4. Three shows will pop up....click on the one that says "Indonesia"

For best viewing, right click the nudibranch and select "full screen"

Then left click on the nudibranch and you are good to go. Turn up your speakers, grab a drink and sit back.

The show is long, about 10 minutes. I decided to do a little storyline starting with a topside segment then an underwater piece. So together it is about 10 minutes.

    Enjoy.

    Best,

    Joe

  4. Hi Joe,

I don't have the plugin - anyway of seeing the pix without it?

    Alex

  5. I agree with Rand. Great job!

  6. Does it work on Macs? I can't get it to work on mine...

  7. stunning!

  8. Any mac option - I'd love to see it :-)

  9. Beautiful shots, and very nice slide show, Joe!

I'll be diving Lembeh next week (for the first time) and this was just the "can't wait" preview I needed! :)

  10. Hi Joe,

I don't have the plugin - anyway of seeing the pix without it?

    Alex

You can download the plugin from www.photodex.com

    It's about 2.6mb.

    Cheers,

    Mat

  11. By the way, great job with the slideshow Joe. I use Pro Show too, but it looks like I have yet to discover a number of its functionalities...

  12. Thanks everyone. Mac does not do well wih PC stuff...what a damn shame. Bruce, my immediate recommendation is to make sure you ask to see an animal. I was lucky with my opportunities mostly because I kept nagging the guides in between the dives as to what I wanted to shoot. They find it challenging and enjoyable to help you so long as the group is not too big and divers don't need too much coddling.

To be honest, many of the pics in the show I had to ask them to specifically find. I had a laundry list I used. If you don't ask, you will get whatever is on the dive. The guides are incredible. What you see as a lump of sand they see as an animal.

Enjoy your trip and I look forward to seeing youe work when you get back.

    Joe

  13. Photodex I believe doesn't work on Mac... well the plug in anyways.

  14. Joe,

Truly a spectacular slide show, a masterful presentation. Excellent photography accentuated by wonderful creativity with Photodex.

I have to say the timing was very good, not too long. As they say "Always leave 'em wanting more!"

    Regards,

    James

  15. This is very unfair to us Mac users. I am "left wanting some"!

    Alex

  16. I can't get the Photodex to download for me either....i think its the crap internet connection i have

  17. Joe,

That's a really excellent show! I really like the topside segment in the beginning. When Randy and I were there in May we never left the resort, except to get to and from the airport. We were at Lembeh Resort which meant a boat ride to get to the mainland for exploring, but now I wish we had done so!

    Really great show and photography!

  18. Great show Joe. Really like the profile Hairy Frog Fish shots and "fringed eye" shot very cool. It is great you got to do some dryland.
