  1. Finally, First dive with a Digital camera to day. And I'm loving it. :)

The pictures are taken in a narrow strait, at the west coast of Norway.

Images there taken with a Nikon D2x and 10,5mm Fisheye in a Nexus housing with two Ikelite SS200.

  2. Any comments, I'm going back there tomorrow to shoots some more.

  3. Looks like you had excellent viz. Good stuff.

I find the fisheye distortion a little extreme in these photos - but I think it's just the subject matter.

Where is the East Coast of Norway? I thought it only had a west coast. (showing my ignorance).

  4. Great use of the fisheye lens in the third shot!!! :) I especially like the juxtaposition of the fish and diver. However, I am wondering what was above the water to create the shadows on the surface?

  5. The viz was about 15m.

The diving the East coast of Norway was so bad, we gave it to the Swedish. :)

I'm close to the subjects with my lense on these photos to.

It is the bridge over the strait, You can also see the both pillars.

  7. There is also the Arctic coast.

    Tom :)

Thanks, we posted at the same moment almost a half-day apart! :)

It is more like 1 hour :(

  10. Hi Ingvald,

I think you are still shooting a bit too filmy. I would shoot with the camera angle about 10 degrees lower (that will control the hightlights at the top of your frame). Films handles stuff like that easily. Digital slightly less so.

    Otherwise, nice stuff.

    LOL!! :)

Nice shots! I am amazed at how brave you guys are to dive in those freezing waters, I am staying away as much as I can!

Was sitting still for about a hour, total dive time: 75min. No problem now, in a few month the temprature will drop 6-10 degres celsius to about 2-5 degrs celsius. Then the wideangle season starts for real.
