    I dont expect to see a similar leap in practical quality over the next 3 years for the same kind of price. Its a bit like computers, my current PC is 3 years old but practically speaking little different from what you can buy now.

    Not so sure of this myself being a MAChead, an upgrade will be needed for Aperture. I do not think my 2-year old G4 1.33 GHz is going to cut it even with the RAM maxed out at 2G. ;)
