  1. Hi every body, I have somebody in Japan in dire need of Inon strobes, anybody know's a sure place to buy, He his in a rush, need before 17 nov. or anybody here that can ship to him in these delays.

    Thank's

  2. Hi Jean,

My suggestion would be to contact Yuzo Kanda at http://www.uwdigitalcamera.com/En/default.php

Unless Yuzo is away on a dive trip (the guy has to have fun sometimes right?) - he is extremely reliable and prompt.

I have had stuff shipped from him to Australia and know several others who have had similar positive experiences.

    Good luck.

  3. I got mine from Seaoptics in Oz when I was living in Kabul - and they were fast and reliable. They are on the web.

  4. Prices at Seaoptics weren't nearly as keen as Yuzo when I last looked. Why else would I have ordered from Japan when I could have bought directly from an adjacent state in my own country? ;)

  5. Well David and Cary are good guys... they are just hampered by 10% GST, transport and import duty.

They have saved my dive holidays in a crunch. And Cary is a great source of info for leafy sea dragons.

But Yuzo is the best source for Japan.

  6. Hi,

I always do business with Yuzo & never had problem but, he sometime run out of stock on Inon on high demand. He is located in Nagoya not Tokyo area. If your friend is in hurry, www.mic21.com is one of large shop in Japan & they are in several different location, too.

  7. Looks like the Z220F and S have been discontinued (from www.uwdigitalcamera.com)! ;)

To be replaced by a new model?? The D-2000 series are a bit weaker. :)

  8. It looks like Marine cameras distribution may have some in stock....as i am looking for another to match my exising one.

Is the D-2000 compatible with an Digi SLR?

    Alastair.

  9. D-2000 is D-SLR compatible. However, it is basically upgraded version of D-180 & is G.N. 20 strobe. Z-220/220F/220S are G.N.22 (iso100/m).

Strictly speaking, the D2000 is compatible with dSLRs. However, it can only be used as a slave strobe, as it is triggered using a fibre optic cord. So it requires another strobe connected to your camera by a sync cord to be triggered.

  12. There's the new D2000W which has 5 point Nikonos connectors as well as fiberoptic. The W can now be used as a main strobe. Just started playing with one today, thanks to Ryan at Reefphoto.

  13. Does the D-2000W have the same specs (GN number, power) as the Z-220?

    cheers,

  14. There are actually 2 very similar versions, both of which have the same specs as the D-2000.

You can find more details here:
