I have just remembered that WP member Steve Jones has got the cover shot on this month's Diver (UK - for all you Canadians) magazine - with this stunning shot of a whaleshark.
Congrats Steve!

Thanks all,
That shot came at the end of what I'd call a "10 year history of failure" in trying to shoot Whalesharks. Flooded housings, mysterious camera errors, no film left - all the excuses under the sun ![]()
That one was the dive of my life....
Steve
Well done to my neighbour in the shires..
I was just looking at the mag cover as this thread popped up..
Fantastic !!! Amazing what you can do in Stoney Cove with good ambient light ![]()
Well done again
DeanB...

Congrats Steve, is it possible to see bigger version?
Thanks for the interest - I'll scan it tonight, meanwhile there's a slightly bigger picture on my homepage at www.millionfish.com
cheers!
That is a beautiful photo.

Nice clean shot (esp on your web page), no H. sapiens in there like many of those one sees published. How big was this fish? The remoras look relatively large? ![]()
Tom
It was a young one Tom, I'd estimate between 14 and 18 feet.
There's a shot here of the same shark, gives a bit more perspective on size....
I wonder how many have seen and photographed a young one? I especially like your shot that looks like it is taking a dive - nice blue gradation! ![]()
