  1. OK, I actually do take photos. Sometimes I actually share them.

    Here's the slideshow

Don't forget to turn on the sound. Also, right click and go full screen. The images are high enough resolution for it.

It's kind of long, like 17 minutes.

  2. Very nice. Looks like someone had a chance to play with the Magic Filter. How did you like the Aggressor? This trip is on the list for 07 and starting to do some research. How many days did you go?

  3. No magic filter, but it would be a good place to use one, I think.

I loved the Aggressor. It is a class act. It was our second trip on the boat and we are going back in 2007.

The Galapagos trip is seven days, Thursday to Thursday. We arrived on Tuesday, toured Quito on Wednesday. On the first trip we to Bellavista after our return to Quito. This time we went north to Otavalo and overnighted there. Returned to Quito and flew home on Sunday.

  4. Great show! The Galapagos is one of my favorite places.

  5. As a Mac user I can't view the show.

  6. As a Mac user I can't view the show. :(

To quote the Simpson's... "Haa Ha!" :D

I have PC but slow internet so can't watch either...

Ok, give it to me Alex... :D

  7. George,

Sarah and I watched your show yesterday and enjoyed it tremendously. Sarah's comment: "why don't more Americans tour South America? This looks awesome."

    Cheers

    For Mac users:

The show has some fish pictures. Some big fish, some small fish. Sometimes, lots of fish, sometimes just a couple. Maybe a mammal in there and some amphibians to boot. Lots of flora and fauna shots and plenty of landscape and Ecuadorian people shots. There, that's it.

"why don't more Americans tour South America? This looks awesome."

They do. Tourism is the #2 income generator in Ecuador. The majority of tourists are from the U.S. Most of the tourist guides majored in being a tourist guide and speak excellent English. The US dollar is standard currency. Ecuador is a great place to visit as it has varied regions of interest.

On the other hand, other South American countries are not as attractive as tourist destinations. Neighboring Colombia would be at the bottom of the destination list.

  9. Great show,

    I loved the hamerheads

This brings up an interesting question. Aside from the Galapagos and maybe one or two from the southern parts of the Carribean, I can't remember ever seeing any underwater photos from South America. Any body have photos from the Pacific or Atlantic coasts ?

Check out the gallery from Brazil on my website. Warning: only fish! This was done way back on my pure science days.

  12. Interesting Luiz. How's the diving down there?

  13. As the photographer himself wrote: nothing to see, what can be interesting in photos of sharks/penguins, seals.... ;)

I traveled in SA 15 years ago, and after the Galapagos that I didn't went thereת Columbia is my first in the destination list, amazing country, every thing you can want to is there.

  14. Interesting Luiz. How's the diving down there?

Herb, it is very nice in the oceanic islands and some points along the coast. I'd say the best four spots are Fernando de Noronha, Recife, Laje de Santos and Parcel de Manuel Luiz. The first three are readily accessible, the fourth is very hard to get to but it is the best in my opinion.

Send me a PM if you need more info, I have extensive dive experience there.

    Luiz
