Last Sunday dive

  1. Soooo... we thought the mobulas had already left until next year but last sunday we went diving not expecting to see any. We were wrong, it took us around 3 minutes to spot the first and it was 45 minutes seeing mobulas. There were a couple of times when I could see up to 9 passing in different directions sometimes very close...Great Sunday dive!!

Yes, but different species. I am pretty sure yours is Mobula mobular. David's is probably Mobula thurstoni.

  7. Haha, I have been diving for quite a while and I have never heard of a Mobula. Where are they usually found?

Our mobulas are thought to be mobula tarapacana. I think is very hard to distinguish one from another....
