If i have not missed it, I don't think that there is a topic ala
SHOW ME YOUR RIG
It will be interesting to see the rig of everyone and maybe also some info about third parts like strobes, arms, lengths , correction diopters etc...
SO we can see what others use.. not really much text . One or two photos and some text is enough
Nice Idea?
Good idea, Lambis. Bit of fun too.
My rig varies rather a lot depending on what I am shooting.
This is probably the most extreme, which is my setup when shooting telephoto pix. Obviously the arms are unfolded once underwater and the strobes are pushed out forward in front of the camera. This is an example of a shot taken with this setup.
At the other end of the scale, here is my patent penting diver POV setup! Magic filter inside the housing and special "face-mask filter" on the dome! And here is an example taken with this setup.
Alex
Here is one of me with the system setup for the 10.5:
In this occasion I had the Ikelites 100a and 200, but I usually shoot with 2 SS200s.
Alex, do you need special (extra long) sync cords for that telephoto setup?
Luiz
Nope Luiz. I only have two Subtronic synch cords. I really must get a spare. And they are all the standard length.
Normally I shoot with very short arms. Usually I do all my shots with just a single 6 inch section of Ultralight on either side of the camera. It is rare for me to have two sections of arm on each side of my camera.
Alex
I love this thread and I love this board.
Unrequited gear lust indeed.........
Don't have the camera or housing in my hand yet, but this is what it'll look like, minus the strobe & arms and book .
Hi all,
This is me during the shooting of my film in Wied-iz-Zurrieq, Malta...
Sony TRV950 - Amphibico Dive Buddy Plus - L&M Monitor - Amphibico HID Lights.
Those were the days B)
This is me stalking tiger sharks with my wide angle setup, using a 16-35mm zoom with Seacam's "superdome" (photo by David Haas). I actually now use less/shorter UCLS arms than in this photo, as I've discovered that the Inon strobes aren't really powerful enough to need the huge spread these long arms provide. If I were using S&S 350's or something similar, I would still use wide arms like this (e.g., to shoot big schools of jacks/barracuda), but it's just not necessary with the Inons.
Photo of Bruce taken with my lowly little Canon Rebel XT, Ikelite housing with SMALL 6" extended dome port and a Canon 10-22mm lens. Single DS125 strobe, too....
Will see if I have a photo of my rig somewhere on my computer
Thanks for the photo credit Bruce!

Alex .. omg ... i am not diving with you ever again ..... you have reached UW photo geekness levels never heard of .. you'll need to explain this over some beers it might make a bit more sense then.
The only shot of me with my rig...
Aquatica D100, TLC Arms, Ike DS125s
No photo of me with the gear, because most of the time, I'm the one taking pictures... Anyway, a couple of Seacam housings, one aquatica, 2 ikelite and 2 Inon strobes, various ports, and more clamps and arms than I thought possible
I've got a few more housings, and cameras (Nikonos), but didn't feel like unpacking the whole lot. Ready for my Bali holidays!
So this is it, I`m going to show you all some real profi stuff now, a Nikon Coooolpix 4100 with its waterproof case WP-CP1, a tube fat, a rubber ring two cards , two accu`s and a glass of excellent German red wine. So thats it you can start laughing now .
Here is my macro rig..

Me, lounging around after dragging my 10.5mm/D2X setup around half a dive!
Hey Boi
Get off that blenny!
This is me, with VX2000 Pro housing, PD170 and SWA100 lens from fathom.
Drew, don't worry, I already checked before I settled down, not a blenny was crushed, not even a single polyp was stirred
OK, might have crushed a bit of coraline algae but it was such a nice big comfortable looking piece of granite begging for a tired diver to settle down
i have too many rigs to post...
Yeh, Yeh, Yeh !!
All words no pictures. I know your sort..
Your name isn't Mike in Yap and you live in a block of flats in east grinstead..
Got your number..
Dive safe

Here is me and my rig on a snorkel dive in 1 foot of water. Notice that I circled the batfish. The last photo is what I actually shot from this snorkel dive.
You never know when you can nail a good shot.
Joe
Actually i am from a small area just to the west of grinstead....
