WPDC300 and Sea & Sea Lenses

  1. Hey hey hey. I have a Canon S40 with the Wpdc300 and a sea and sea YS90Dx strobe. Does anybody have any experience using the Sea & Sea adapter and other Sea & Sea lenses with this housing, or any other canon housings for that matter? I already purchased the adapter and the Sea & Sea 20mm wide angle and the 3t macro lens and since I like doing things completely illogical and ass-backwards, I am only now doing the research about the products.

Does anybody know how this setup works?

    Any tips?

    Please comfort me.

    Thanks!!

  2. If you have the right adapter then it should work fine. The Sea & Sea is a good optic.

  3. I have been using the 16mm wide angle for a couple of years and it's wonderful. I also have the 3T macro lens and found that it just never helped - the macro abilities of the camera are good enough and the lens caused some focusing problems for me.

If you have the adapter lens, enjoy the WA lens!!!!

About the macro capabilities: are you talking about the S40 or the A80?

From my experience the S series macro is not so good, the A series I don't know.

  5. I guess I would be speaking of the A20, A40 and A80 - those are the cameras I have used and been very happy with the macro abilities.

Can't confirm or deny your comment about the S40, so perhaps it will be a good tool for that camera.
