The new issue of Alert Diver (DAN's magazine) showed up yesterday, Behind the Lens photographer David Haas. There is also a photo of his in another article.
I apologize I didn't bring it with me to work this morning and can't remeber what the month/issue is or what the page numbers are...
So Congratulations David Haas on being the DAN Behind the Lens Photographer of the month and one heck of a nice guy!
Hey Good job David!!!! Nice to be recognized for your work
So uh Joel....you aren't very good at this are you? (who got the cover?)
Good job on the front cover Mike.
I just got my copy yesterday, also.
I always read the copyright info on the photographs in the magazines I read( and then usually the story that goes with it).
I really enjoyed recognizing a familiar name for a change.
Keep up the good work!
Thanks Paul!! I appreciate that.
I was just giving Joel a hard time cuz he has a tendency to overlook me.... :)

HAHAHAHAHa, I did actually miss it. So much for my streak... And now I can't find the darn magazine....Now I have a mission!
Big Grats Mike! /duck
Joel,
Thanks for noticing, and congrats to Mike for his cover shot! The "Behind the Lens' ss a nice addition DAN has to let folks know about contributing photographers.
Unfortunately, now people know I'm an old "mossback" as divers who started way back when are/ were called
Still kicking and exploring UW and photographically.....Searching, searching , searching for that next big idea

Excellent work, gang.
Joe
Congrats guys! Please, post some scans when you can!

Here is the cover, sorry i don't have the issue yet so couldn't show David's Behind the Lens
Strange that as a mainly WA guy my last two covers were both Macro....
And David, you're not that old!! Just well stewed...
Thanks Mike for the "politically correct" comment No flat bed scanner in my office, although I have a small PDF of the pae. Will see if i can forward that to this forum.
We had 47F temps yesterday melting all our Ohio snow for Christmas Day, so like an idiot I went out to get back into my running (and walking fast these days) regimen. BIG TIP! If you have been goofing off and only swimming in the ocean with fins the last month, DON'T decide to start back up with a 6 mile run Man are my hip / leg bones sore!
Still able to get out there and I really enjoyed being outside versus cooped up in the house. Lots to do in the office before departing for Australia Jan. 13 - 27! Looking forward to 1-2 days minimum on the S.S. Yongala wreck, the best wreck / critter site in the world!
Happy holidays to all!

Mike,
Great job on the covers. I hope they paid you more than $25

Cool lighting, Mike. How did you do it?
(My browser doesn't serve up your ~/Galleries.html).
