A couple Fiji shots

  1. Hello, this is my first photo post here. These were taken with my resently stolen C5050 and a single Inon strobe. Now shopping for my next camera.

  2. I really like the second shot!

  3. That Anthias kicks butt!! Great capture, i like the slightly coming toward you stance of the fish and the fact his fin is sticking up. Great shot

Really nice colours on both shots, well done

  4. Saudio, great portrait of the anthias, they have beautiful colors and contrasted with the plain coral, it's interesting.

Really sorry about the camera loss, especially bad under those circumstances!

P.S. Nothing wrong with the volitans, good focus, color etc., it's just me, I've seen too many of 'em lately, even near Nassau, Bahamas!

Anthias, so that's what it is. This was my first trip to the South Pacific and I haven't purchased an ID book, thanks!

And thanks for the nice words about the pic. I'll take credit for the sharpness and exposure, but since I was shooting my long lost C5050 we know I can't take any responsibility for the pose

Thanks both for the compliments and the sympathy. Both are nice to hear. The anthias is similar to shoot to the Fairy Basslet I think. They never hold still, and in my case luck is important.

And the lionfish has a lousy background. For some reason, on the entire trip every lion was hugging the reef and I could never get a good open water shot. I need to go back!
