Click on the last photo at the bottom to see how they've rearranged the iTTL circuitry and bulkhead. Looking good Ike.

The control that I think always looked tricky on the D200 is the Flash Mode button. This button allows you to switch into rear curtain, slow synch etc etc.
I noted in the Subal prototype that was knocking around last month that this control was not on it.
I am not sure about the Ikelite? The blurb says that the Flash Compensation button is provided for, but I'm not sure about the flash mode button.
Maybe it is the forward control above-right of the port in the image above?

$1500 looks nice too!
Flash compensation and flash mode are controlled by the same button, different command wheels.
I just assumed since we were talking about prototyoes that the housing wasn't yet for sale on B&H. Shows you what I know. Thanks for clarifying.
Give us a few more days. Flash compensation and flash mode control will be activated by your index finger while holding the handle. The AE/AF lock will continue to be operated by your thumb while AF "on" will be by push button. A simple shaft change will allow AF "on" control by your thumb if this is preferred. Will have new photos with text change asap............
Pretty exciting, thanks for the update Ike. I really feel like with this new generation of TTL Ike housings, we're back to the flash control and functionality seen with Nikon film cameras like the F100 and even better than the F90.

I have one on order with Helix, can't wait to start shooting with my d200, 12-24mm , 60 mm and 18-70mm.
The housing looks great.
Ike, will there be a cheaper version without the iTTL circuitry ?
Regards
Jan
Version without iTTL circuitry is not planned at this time. Production version should have exposure compensation for both manual and iTTL. Did not have room for the LEDs as used on D70, and was not conceived when present photo was taken, but the knowledgeable types have incorporated a rotary switch to provide all of the capabilities. Will photograph when all components are available............
