MWB card mount?

  1. Mike has that package arrived yet?

I did a dive yeterday in nearly blue water and the MBW stuff I got was very good, even a turtle eating a lions maine jellyfish mid water.

I wanted another way to put the camera into record mode so I came up with this

It's really good to use for some shots. The remote was from my old 1996 8mm camera. :o

There was another reason why I did it as well, and will explain all soon.

  2. Wags,

Wow...you maek Mcguiver look like a total slacker...I am amazed at the contraptions you can rig...you should start a businsss!

  3. Hey I knew the tiny remote would come in handy for something.

Sometimes my right hand is in front of the housing for some shots so it good having the second way now.

I suppose that's what you get when you grew up in the bush.

My filter is always now on the camera and the macro on the flip arm.

I also took down a Sony remote in a water tight mobile bag but it got abit compressed.

Shawnh were do you put your L&M housing pics to view?

  4. Wagsy, here's some Bluefin HD pictures that I posted before. Will add some new pictures showing the 80 deg Wide Lens soon.

Shawn, congratulations on your new Bluefin HD. So how do you like it so far? Very happy with mine.

Nick, I'm glad to have helped you.

Of course WB off the surace (thanks Dan! - earlier thread) is even easier...

I agree with those that don't recommend mounting the white balance card on your housing. A retractable lanyard would be better, as you can keep the housing streamlined and less obstructed. Also, using a white balance card can be useful, but there are other, usually more effective methods to MWB your camera that you should try.

  5. Wags adn Dan,

I will have a full review of the LMI housing shortly including underwater screen grabs and useful tips. Overall, LMI got this right on the money. I have used their prior BlueFin Housing extensively (950) and liked it a lot. This housing is a big step up and they improved upon the prior work in almost all respects....i'll save the rest for the review:)

    Shawn

  6. Looking forward to you review Shawn

It looks like a nice setup.
