Flash arms and Hugyfots...

  1. I am trying to choose a couple of new arm systems for a new Hugyfot housing. As far as I have tried and seen I want some rubber in the tightenning clamps (I actually own an arm system that is either too tight or the strobe is dancing around). Does anyone know if Hugy´s handle ball is compatible with ULCS even if it doesn´t have o-ring? Does ULCS have an special piece to substitute Hugy´s ball?Could you give me an advice on different arm systems or if is there any previous topic where to read about different arm systems? :P

    Thanks in advance!!

  2. Yes - ULCS go straight onto Hugy balls!

  4. FYI

Many manufacturers have now standardised on 25mm/1inch (they DO interchange pretty well) ball joints.

Those that I know produce balls of this size are:

Seacam, TLC (Aquatica), Ultralight, Ikelite (1"), Inon, obviously Hugyphot (as stated in this post), and probably more.

At last an underwater standard of one component at least!!!
