  1. Anthony... i have access to a crowbar...

  2. Is that to beat me up or to "modify" your Aquatica??

  3. well.... its cold in melbourne.. so i will go with the modification part..

  4. A box of beer (to be collected from my office in cairns ) to the first person to get one in the water.

  5. It does looks close...cool demo gif there...

Im sure you will be one of the first Peter to get in wet..

Hey Kelly's folks are in Cairns at the moment, in some resort somewhere..

Whats a nice sail vessel to go on now days over there Peter.

  6. haha... i didn't even notice it was a gif.. funny...

well... i guess Jean will tell us in a couple weeks..

  7. Geez Mike - no respect! And I made the damned gif for you.

Peter, you'll probably be the first one in to get it UW and you'll be drinking the beer yourself.:lol::wub:

  9. Nice one Kees. I didn't realise it was so small when I did my comparison. Clever idea.

  10. I'll be drinking a beer myself, just to wait and see how you all did. So don't forget to take photo's of the modifications.

    Greetz,

    The CopyCat

P.S. Things to consider: would there be a modification possible where both cameras would fit?

  11. Nice one Kees. I didn't realise it was so small when I did my comparison. Clever idea.

    Thanks,

But see my post above, I just do ctrl-C ctrl-V

A Dutch guy named Remy Bergsma made it.

  12. how about the rum coke i am drinkin now? is that a nice reward to myself?

i hate upgrades... they always work against me...

if it weren't for that damn alcohol i could have a D2X just like Alex...

    bwahahaha

  13. oh, and kees.. i might have to moderate you for using terms like "sizes compared" Anthony's girlfriend reads these threads, Anthony might get nervous...

  14. Would Nikon really build a camera more advanced than the D70s with an SD card as the only option. I hope not...

  15. Hey Mike, I appreciate you keeping things nice around here. Michaela will have much more respect for you now

And Kasey, it wouldn't surprise me at all that SD was the only option...

  16. I think the SD card slot is a bit odd as well. SD cards don't have near the capacity of CF cards (8 gigs). This makes me think the camera might slot in between the D50 and D70s

Also, if you look at the top-down view on engadget, you can see on the mode dial that it has a lot of amateur "scene modes." Looks "prosumer."

    Cheers

  17. James.... so does the D70.... which is what a lot of us are hopin for... a prosumer version of the D200

  18. Would Nikon really build a camera more advanced than the D70s with an SD card as the only option.  I hope not...

Hey Kasey great point. ( haven't heard from you for a while hows it all going under the carribean)

I am inclined to think that this is replacement for the D70 & D50 . SD only really says a lot about the positioning of this product.

Certainly makes good sense to me that the range would be consumer D80 , a prosumer D200 and Professional D2X..

While we're speculating anybody wanta to have a guess at when the Pro upgrade will be ?

  19. While we been sleeping, SD card has fast become the standard for cameras. Most new laptops has a SD slot. The cost of a 4GB SD card is now under $100, so this is hardly a big issue even for those upgrading from cameras that uses compactflash.

  20. Well, SD is certainly smaller, and I love my SD+USB card. No card reader needed!

    Cheers

    James
