New high tech float arms

  1. A wetpixel member wrote a great DIY in the review section on closed cell foam to add buoyancy.

    Here is the link.

    buoyancy collar

After reading it, I made my own buoyancy collar to offset my big negative wide angle lens on my video camera. It's kind of ugly, but works great. My rig is now totally neutral.

  2. Just got back from Sipidan. Used my new high tech arms. Worked great. Used with a D2X in a Subal housing and 2 DS125 strobes. This rig was well balanced before but worked like a charm in this rig. Especially considering I have chronic tendinitis in my hands.

    Dave,

I did something similiar, but used larger diameter pipes, and used ULCS tri-clamps to mount them next to my substrobes:

  3. Using the Tri- clamp is a clever idea! Great pictures..
