Digital 1:1 macro with a framer

3 posts
  1. Is it possible to set up a digital camera like the Olympus C5060 in an Ikelite housing to shoot 1:1 macro with a framer? I'm thinking of the kind of arrangement that is used with the Nikonos V - extension tube, framer, and strobe which made macros essentially a point and shoot operation. Any suggestions?

  2. I doubt that youd be able to shoot 1:1 by any method. 1:1 on a P&S is tiny. On your C5060 1:1 is the equivalent of 5:1 on your Nikonos.

That said, you should be able to make something similar to 1:1 on your Nikonos (1:5 on your camera).

See this thread for an example of how someone made a macro framer for a P&S in a Ikelite housing. http://wetpixel.com/forums/index.php?showt...hl=macro+framer
