Terrorist target Sulawesi

The schmuck is in jail. Why are they interviewing him as if he was in control of Sulawesi.
I am going to Sulawesi in a couple of months.
In my opinion, any travel to this area, should be done with some common sense and caution. Terrorists can attack anywhere.
Evaluate you risks and risk tolerance.

I live by the mantra that when God calls you home, you're going home. It'll either going to be a bus, disease, infection, or some other malady but it will be something. One can only hope and pray it will be a regulator failure, at 100ft while making your millionth dive at 80 years old. Otherwise, live life to its fullest and have no regrets when it finally catches up with you.

The Solomons? !!!
Many more people are killed each year by malaria than by terrorism and 30 percent of the population of the Solomons suffer from a pernicious variant of the disease. I would be far more worried about the dangerous mosquito than any terrorist.

Just back from Lembeh, now in Bali. Nothing but smiles, manners and great people. I walked around Bitung (north Sulawesi) alone, rode in taxis, alone, walked through the place at night, alone. Never once did I feel threatened.
Terrorists are winning if you let them get to you. Enjoy the world, enjoy your adventure. If some little twerp wants to shout insults or threaten you thats his problem. By not traveling you are letting assholes like this achieve their goals, rule by terror.
Me for one, I've got too many places yet to tick off, too many images I need to get to let some fanatic get me down.
2c and no change!
Cheers,
Mark.
