  1. No corrosion problems. This stuff is really great.

I'm going to order 2 more, use the bases with a new aluminium base/battery pod cover, and use the extra pieces to make 2 silent light arms.

  2. Nick, are you ordering them from the States or getting them from a local distributor/ photo shop?

  3. I ordered direct from Joby. Their service was great and shipping was fast and I recall very cheap compared to most stuff I get from the States.

I will shortly order 2 more complete Gorillapods so I've got 2 new bases for my MKII front legs (one of the weak cut-up bases broke after about 70 dives), plus enough modules to make 2 light arms as well as the legs.

  4. I followed your advise and got myself an SLR Zoom, too!

Fortunatly the Topdawg Housing has a tripod screw in its baseplate.

We are leaving for Marsa Lam at the 9th. Afterwards I can tell you how it worked... :D

    Heres how it looks:

  5. Nice setup Christian, it should work very well for you. One thing you may want to do is put the two legs forward to better stabilize your rig. This will keep the lens as stationary as possible. Have a great trip, and share some clips when you return.

I just ordered one of these for myself, and thought others here might be interested also. This looks like it would be very useful for underwater macro shooters. I ordered the heavy duty model (SLR-Zoom) that supports 6 lbs, which should be plenty underwater. Also view the Joby home page to see the other uses for this product.
