Sea and Sea DUAL sync cord

  1. Do you have to use the Fiber optic cable with the YS 90DX and a CP 5000 to get TTL? Can you not just use the 5 pin DUAL sync cord and get the same results??

  2. The sync cord is a much more reliable alternative and the best way to get TTL.

  3. My first choice would be a true sync cord as they are more reliable. But this really isn't a choice with most housings as they do not have any provisions to use fiber optic with the exception of the Sea&Sea DX5000 housing which has a fiber optic port for the cable and maybe the Ikelite which might be able to be made to work.

I am haveing problems with the Sea&Sea dual sync cord to my set of 90DX's although another on this board is not having any problem with the exact same setup. I have sent my whole rig to Japan for testing and I won't have any answers for about a month. You can see my very long thread about the ordeal here YS90DX Problem
