Bubbles between port and lens

  1. I live in New York. Won't get to go in the ocean again until July, when I hope to see some sharks in the Bahamas. I just purchased my 60mm lens and my 10-17 Fisheye lens. Not on to the housing and the flash. I'll have to move closer to good diving to get my money's worth...

Sounds good. Let me know how those lenses go. Next pay cheque, I'm off to buy a 40D. Housing will come later in the year, and they're the 2 lenses (60mm & 10-17 FE) I'm looking at (plus a sigma 17-70mm that I'll get next week too, for topside for now).

We've been having crazy storms and a bit of flooding here, so no diving this weekend. And, it's a long weekend!

  2. Aussie, I will surely share my pictures when I get back, assuming I don't destroy my camera immediately upon entering the water. And since I'll only have two lenses, I will try to label all my photos with the lens that was used "Tok 10-17" and "60mm" or some such. I believe that can be done in my shooting menu. Unfortunately, given my newness to the hobby, I am pretty sure they won't be pictures you'll be "striving" to get, but hopefully my gift will shine through and my luck will hold out sufficient to give some idea of what the lenses can do.

  3. BTW. I tried a wipe of McNett Sea Drops to the port and rear element immediately before a dive and so far it seems positive.
