Very nice set. I tried to look last week and for some reason the slideshow would not play for me. I think it was my connection.
Looks great now.

thank you all.

Hi Simon, where did your guide find hairy frogfish ? in sereya of Bali? I am planning to go there next week.

I'm in Lembeh...
I dont think they get hairy frogfish in Bali.

Err not true Simon, I've seen Hairies in a few places... including Secret Bay. In fact they were mating when I found them. It was actually a great day... we had 5 species of frogfish in one dive. Only topped by that other site which I don't talk about.
Or were you lameting about not enough princesses to kiss hairy frogs like you?
Nice shots Jenny, btw. Don't worry, the hairies are around.
The red+purple... did you oversaturate on purpose? the purple spots look like it's bleeding into reds.
My favorite is this one:

Looks like the emperor shrimp is on molten landscape.

very cool.wish i can get many critters in seraya! thank you Drew!!
i did not add the saturation of this shot. only add +1 layer contrast in Capture NX. maybe because i took this shot at night dive.... the colors of fire urchin from my eye are gorgeous.

To be fair to Simon, I've never seen a hairy frogfish around Tulamben/Seraya. I've seen them at Secret Bay often, and also at PJ. Seraya is, to me, more of a spawning ground. If you have time, Secret Bay and PJ are always great to dive. Zen resort, just around the corner from PJ is a nice place to stay too if you're into yoga/wholistic/spas. Although apparently it's not wise to do a head stand if your blood is loaded with nitrogen, apparently the increased bloodflow may cause microbubbles to form a big one in your brain. While I don't buy that theory, I won't test it either.

I agree with Simon and you ! there are no Hairy at Seraya.

about head stand....first time to hear that effect. I always do Yoga
before morning dive and now i have to consider about it. i have already booked TTT for one week and i will stay at Zen resort next time.

Some nice compositions, Jenny; I particularly like your abstracts. You do have quite a bit of noise in some shots, so I assume you've bumped up the exposure quite a bit in some cases. Anyways, a good collection. Hairies were there in July/August: however they were babies, and didn't have a lot of, well, HAIR. The only way to tell they were hairies was their lure. As for Secret Bay in Bali, the only froggies I've seen aren't hairies, but Hispid frogfish: they look hairy but have a Pom-pom type lure, instead of the worm-like three pronged lure that the Hairies have.
Cheers,
Marli
