hi kal, welcome to wetpixel. i'm sure a certain mr steve williams will be along to help you out. hold tight. he has all the gear you have named. in the mean time do a few searches as there are loads of other threads on these lenses.
For strobe arm lengths I think most start with 4- 8 inch sections and adjust and add from there. You could consider TLC, Arms ULCS arms, they tend to be the most popular brands at this time.
I do not have the 10-22 but recently got the Tokina 10-17 and love the lens for WA work.
Cheers and welcome to Wetpixel
Todd
Hi Kal,
Welcome to Wetpixel! Stew is right, I have the same setup. You don't mention which housing you have or our looking at. There is a good thread about the Tokina 10-17mm here where you can take a look at some images. The 10-22mm is a very good lens and if you're just starting out you'll be able to use it to get some great images. A lot of folks who have both prefer the Tokina for most of their diving so that's a great option. The 100mm is a very good lens and you'll have a ball learning how to use it underwater. The 60mm is just as good optically and most folks would recommend it as a great fish lens and good lens to start with for macro subjects, especially ones that aren't hard to get close to. There have been quite a few conversation about which to use when here. I'd recommend you try out the search feature and read some of the existing threads. They are a great resource for us beginners.
There are also a some great threads about arms & recommended lengths. I like my ULCS but there are others you might want to checkout. Here is a thread to get you started. The general tendency is for a setup that uses a combination of a 5" and an 8" arm length but that depends on your lighting approach and what your trying to accomplish. One of the great things about our passion is the variety of ways there are to "find the treasure" There isn't a right same setup for everyone. Which partially explains why wetpixel is so much fun. There are a whole bunch of great people here to help you answer your questions.
Have fun!
Steve

Hey Stew, Yep, I'm looking at it now, sometimes I feel like I should be sleeping with it. I'm very jealous of your Egypt trip. Have a great time and remember to keep the water on the outside. Looking forward to some great images.
Steve
Thanks for the replys! Steve I checked out your photos, very nice & thanks for the links.

Thanks for the kind words Kal, but in the interest of full disclosure most of the good ones were taken by my son. The general consensus around here is that I need new glasses in my mask.
A little tip; when your looking at an image on a flickr page you can see the camera it was taken with and if you click on "more properties" you can see the lens, aperature, and shutter speed, etc. It's a great learning tool for beginners, especially if you see a shot you like and wonder how it was done. A bunch of folks also keyword their shots with 40D so you can search for other people with the same camera. Have fun!
