The increased number of leaks sign that the new olympus MFT camera will be released soon (maybe tomorrow):
I am watching the Oly USA site. The MFT banner changed from a revolution comming in summer 2009 to June 2009 and then back to summer 2009. These little teases drive me loco

In addition to quality housings, Olympus needs to redesign some of their lens to take advantage of the MFT and the addtion 2 connections on the lens mount. Read that as a smaller, faster foucusing 50 mm macro lens, etc.

That was the old mockup. The new version looks even cooler:

I agree, and the 8mm fisheye lens should be redesigned as well. It would be a good start for building a compact system.

Panasonic make a 7-14 F/4 (14-28 equiv.) for MFT. That's not a bad start for wide angle...

Without wanting to sound like a Luddite, and appreciating what an astounding leap forward in technology we have seen in the last ten years (after all, ten years ago would you have believed Skype was possible?) it does seem to me that in our consumerist world we are constantly looking for jobs that we can do with the wonderful tools that become available to us. On the other hand, in the world of the true professional, we see the job before selecting the appropriate tools to do it.
I still have the Nikon outfit that I first used in 1970 and the lenses work well on my D700. If for some reason I was forced to shoot on film, it would be of no hardship to use that kit just as you can do a car journey equally well in a car from the 1960s as you can from the 2010s. We get too often bogged down with non-essential peripherals when it's the core function that matters.
That said, thanks to reading posts on WP I have spent un necessary money on kit I really didn't need - but then what's money for?

Looks like the rumors were true:

Note that there is NO internal flash . . .
