I will be updating some of my equipment soon. I have a pair of Inon Z-240 and I will probably get a Sea&Sea housing for a Nikon D700. I have searched the web, and this forum for advise, but I confess I am still a little confused. (maybe I'm just overthinking the whole thing.) S&S housings use two dissimilar bulkheads, and a clumsy and expensive external TTL converter. What is the best way to match the S&S housing with these strobes? Will the S&S sync cords work? Can TTL be made to work? If anyone has experience with such a setup, I'd love to hear from you. Thanks in advance.

Geez, I was going to suggest the best way to set up your Inons would be to run them through one of S&S's i-TTL converters.
BUT, then I kept reading and you took a stick to them, so I'll just re-think my answer. . . . .

Tell ya what. . . I know a bloke who uses a Nexus housed Nikon D70S. He runs S&S and Inon strobes through S&S sync cords via one of
the S&S i-TTL Mk III converters and he reckons it's a great unit.
But, I don't know what you should do. . . .

The Inon's use the Sea & Sea sync cord. Plug them in and shoot with them manually is probably going to be your best bet.

They do? I am planning to upgrade from my older YS-110 model. Was planning to get the new Aplha updated model but this may make me change my mind. Any idea if the Inon's will work with the MKIII TTL converter for sure? Bruce seems to think so but I am not so sure....

Bruce is correct....I found the info in the forum here.....now just have to wait for the wife to fall asleep before I bust out my credit card....

Isn't the Sea&Sea TTL Converter an OEM version of the HeinrchsWeikamp TTL Converter?

I use the z240s with my d300 and sea and sea version 3 ttl converter, works fine. agree that it is external and takes room, alternative is to use a nexus and use ttl via fieroptics.
