  1. Awesome Tim - worth the wait!

Heading there myself in a week!

  2. Like Phil says, definitely worth the wait. I watched them as a slideshow and they look terrific big screen. That effect your using with the B&W background looks really nice. You should think about sharing a few with the FiNS magazine group on Flickr. Lots of great folks there who would appreciate the work. Congrats on such a profitable trip Tim.

    Cheers,

    Steve

  3. Very nice Tim; hard to choose a favorite from so many great images, but the first seahorse image stands out for me.

  4. Very nice indeed, Tim.

    Lucky you!

I was blown away by the scenery around Misool, but the most productive day was in the "Algae Patch" - a mucky beach covered with filamentous algae and macro life even more concentrated than beneath the Lembeh strait:

 Yes, of course. I make an enhanced layer and a mono layer, then paint a black mask over the subject layer to bring back the colour. My trick is to use a WACOM pad and a pen, which makes it easy: I use a small, soft (fuzzy) brush for the edges and a big one for the middle  .

  16. WOW WOW WOW. What an amazing set of images Tim. The lighting, colours and details together with the composition of all of those shots are truely fantastic. Like Steve I watched it as a slide show on my 22" and the colours are fantstic. It is images like yours that hopefully one day I will be able to reproduce. Thanks for sharing. Stew
