5D mkII for video?

  1. Here is a first underwater video shot with a 5D MK II [/size]

    Welcome to WP :B):

Looked at the video, really really nice job. From the trip out, to the UW and the night scenes and the coastline shots. Good blending of stills and video there. The nighttime street shot was impressive also. Incredible detail and colors throughtout.

  2. Thanks and ... sorry for my bad English ...

Yes, the first thing that makes a real difference with other "small" camcorders, is the incredible color quality, even in low light.

No problem when shooting at ISO 1000. So, with good HID, you can easily close at F11 or F13 and prefocus with a good DOF.

I don't see any equivalent in this price-range, and size.

  3. Thanks and ... sorry for my bad English ...

Nothing wrong with your English, and if I was able to speak French as well I would be very happy :B):

The low light scenes in town looked very good (and so did the other low light shots.) Did you use filters on anything or was it all lights? (My French is pretty much non-existent, so if it was mentioned in the description, sorry about that.....)

  4. Truly *beautiful* work!!

The imaging is quite stunning, and it is a real pleasure to see what it's like where you were diving--both topside and underwater.

Thank you very much for sharing that with us...hope to see more!

    And welcome to WP!

  5. Thanks Mary Lynn,

Other projects soon, and November, the next red sea cruise...

I don't use any filter when shooting, but always control the white balance in manual mode, especially for night shoots. (And also Underwater )
