I have used and owned many housings for film and digital cameras. Ikelite works. It is far cheaper than comparable aluminum housings. That is the upside.
If you move up to aluminum housing, you pay more for it and the ports. You gain ergonomics and in some cases port quality. That step up to Aquatica, Nexus, Sea & Sea, Seatool provides a clear return to you investment. Changing a wide angle lens doesn't require the same effort. Changing your aperture on the fly is easier.
The next step up in price gets you a Subal or Seacam. I own a Subal housing I no longer use. It's a wonderful unit, but it is not easy to rationalize the marginal cost versus the marginal benefits. These brands ooze quality like a Mercedes, BMW or Lexus, but one can get to work in great comfort in a lesser model. The only reason I purchased a Subal was that it was the cheapest available for the D2x at the time. Other than the two floods, I enjoyed using it.
