December 2010 trip options!?

My take:

Maybe one of these....

Malapascua : Threshers are the big draw, but strobes are no longer allowed. As you encounter these guys at around 70 feet at Monad, available light images may or may not work depending on the conditions.

Moalboal: OK, but there are better places in the PI

Dumaguete: Lots of critters, good accessiblity to Apo Island. I'd look at Sea Explorers for a booking

Puerto Galera: My personal fave 9-10 time in the last 10 years. lots of different dives, lots of critters, my favorite operator has closed down but there are lots there, book a resort that's on Small La Laguna and not Sabang (should say on their website), quieter, less bar (read: hooker) action. El Galleon and Asia Divers are the top 2 for me.

Why not do a combined trip, 5 days in Dumaguete, followed by 7 days in Puerta Galera...or some variation of that. It seems to be a very popular combination for many and I hear raving reviews of the Atlantis resort in both of those locations.
