I just returned from an amazing trip to the Canadian Arctic. I found it surprisingly comfortable in and out of the water. We tented on the floe edge as conditions allowed and got to dive and snorkel the floe edge. Iceberg diving was a new highlight for me and of course the Narwhal and Polar bears. 24 hours of daylight. It will take awhile to process the images. The tail shot is only one of a complete series of the tail dive. The Polar bear was photographed at around 2 am. Cheers Todd
Oh man that polar bear image is just wonderful. What lens did you shoot him with? Just trying to figure out how crazy close you were able to get. Were you able to get in the water Narwhal images?
More please,
Steve
The Polar bear was about 40 feet away at it's closest point. No in water Narwhal shots but I came close. Reason to return ; ) lens was a 500 f4
Magnificent Todd; I like both, but the whale tail shot is really an unusual composition. Sounds like a trip for the list!
That sounds like an incredible trip Todd and GREAT pix.

A dive on a ice locked iceberg. Loved the texture of the iceberg, it was unexpected as I had never dove on one before.
