Inon/Ike sync

I tested the new Ikelite #4118.1 sync cord connecting Inon Z220 to Ikelite CP5K housing today and am fairly happy with it.
The finish quality is poor, looks like someone has gripped the Inon end in a vice leaving sharp edges and burrs standing up just where the oring passes over when removing and the plastic locking nut is very roughly finished.
It only transmits the trigger signal so only provides manual flash and the focus light and laser are not operated through the sync cord.
On the positive side you can turn the internal coolpix flash off meaning that in low battery mode the LCD does not turn off whilst recharging the flash. My internal flash definitely does not fire when turned off.
It's great to be able to hand hold the Inon, and the focus light, laser and sync cord all work if you select optical/slave setting on the flash.
Panda, I'm a bit confused here. IKE seems to be inferring that the sync cord should support TTL, the strobe certainly does and the Nikon 5000 uses basic TTL. Can you confirm that TTL really does not work with the new Ike sync cord?
With regards to turning off the Nikon 5000 internal flash. There was much discussion on the web about how turning the flash off does not really turn the flash off. (strange but true!) The camera still fires the flash slightly, something to do with exposure metering I think. I have two Nikon 5000 cameras and there seems no way to completely disable the flash. Anybody else have experience with the Nikon 5000?
There is no way the electrical sync cord can drive the aiming light and laser of the Inon Z220 (I think). These seem to be only driven optically. Allow the optical sensor to see a direct light the laser comes on, remove the light the laser goes off. It requires some special Inon gadget which was part of their own housing for it to work properly. That's why the Inon Z-220S was released without those features.

I'm quite sure that the TTL is not provided on the 4118.1
The only way possible to achive TTL is via DS-125 with an Ikelite housing.
The 4118.1 have only 2 electrical connection from the housing the the Inon Z220 strobe, if I'm not wrong, that is used juz to trigger the strobe firing and not sending info to the strobe the power to fire.....
Ike...any words?
