The new Cinema5D tests show the latest APS-C mirrorless camera with 13 stops dynamic range has surpassed some full-frame dSLRs.
14.5 stops - Arri Amira $40,000 2K
14.1 stops - Sony A7S $2,500 1080p60 ($4,500 4K)
13 stops - Sony A5100 $550 1080p60
11.8 stops - Canon 5D3 $3,400 1080p30
11.4 stops - Canon C300 $12,000 1080i60
10.9 stops - Panasonic GH4 $1,700 4K
Using the same A7S formula, hopefully Sony will introduce a 12MP APS-C low-light camera with internal 4K recording. Reportedly, A7S doesn't have 4K internal recording due to heat generated by the full-frame sensor. Well, APS-C sensors generate less heat.

Cinema5D correction: "[uPDATE 2 Aug. 25 '14:] The software manufacturer informed us that their software had a bug that misinterpreted the Sony A5100′s blacklevels (that seem to inherit green noise) and strongly affected the results for the Sony A5100 dynamic range test. We apologise for any inconvenience this might have caused."
The correct dynamic range is: 10.5 stops - Sony A5100 $550 1080p60
