I am using the 18-70 mm kit lens for UW with an ikelite #5503.55 dome, which limits my choices if I want to get a second lens for UW. On the other hand is the #5503.50 usable with a lot of different lenses. Some of these (with my limited knowledge) overlapps with the 18-70, for example the 24-85 & 28-70 but that dome can still be used a 60 mm macro. Does anyone know if it is impossible to use the #5503.55 with the 60 mm macro or does it produce bad images?
Thanks!
Both starbuck and dhaas know about this...do a search on their names.

ive used the .55 for the 18-70, 12-24 and 60mm.. you will get good results with all 3 lenses in the same port. i had the .50 as well for the 12-24 and did not notice any difference shooting with it..

Thanks Starbuck! Just the answer I wanted. Very nice pictures from Galapagos to show as well at the linked link. <bookmarked>
If the scallops of your dome port shade aren't perfectly aligned when using the 5503.55 with the 12-24, you will get vignetting. A spot of rubber cement, or something similar, to keep the dome shade from shifting might be in order...
