Hi Jim,
Thanks for posting these. I like the lighting in your last shot - pretty good. What was your camera setup and dive setup for this trip?
I had a really hard time shooting macro using my drysuit. Just when I would get stable to get a shot, the air would move around in the suit and I'd be standing on my head...;-) Any tips?

My camera setup was a D70 housing in an Ikelite Housing. Dual DS125's with manual controllers.
I was concerned about shooting macro dry as well, so I went down to the local lake a few weekends before the FG trip to practice a bit. To make a long story short, I ultimatley decided to dive a Henderson 7 mil with no hood or gloves.

I think putting less air into the suit and more into the BC might work.
So how was the "mix" on your trip? Good divers? We had some loo-loos that had to be picked up from waaaaaay out there, but all in all not too bad. Oh, I got my first ride in the RIB too, but that's because I was chasing a manta all over West Bank and then decided to follow my buddy back to the boat. Like they say - it's safer to stick with your buddy, even when he's going the wrong way...lol.

Ha! I wasn't going to mention that in your thread. We had 2 of your divers on our boat, and then when they were taking them back to the Fling, 4 more popped up by our boat. We actually sent out our chase boat to help toat Fling divers back to the Fling. We actually ended up with an excellent group of divers. I'd say 80% of the divers were DM's and Instructors. The other 20% were ok, except they decided to bust the 100 ft. depth limit on the Rig dive and had to sit out.
It was a great trip that left a good impression on me, and I'm going to have to sign up for a few more trips to the Flower Gardens. Great value trip.
