  1. Does anyone know if Aquatica will be offering TTL anytome soon on it's (20D) housing ?Between the aluminum housing and the cord placement I think it is the way to go, but the TTL is hard to pass up.

    Thank's

  2. Marty,

I spoke with Blake and another guys at Aquatica few weeks ago and they told me that the tests with E-TTL II circuit was finished, and now they are working to choose the better position to put it into the housing.

    Best Regards

  3. I assume the Aquatica TTL housing (like the Ikelite) will be a little more $$$ than the normal housing - anyone have a good guess as to how much???

If they use the same price policy as did with Drebel TTL housing, it will price more $100,00... BTW, does anyone did tests with the Aquatica TTL converter for Digital Rebel ?

    Thanks

  5. Not to beat a dead horse, but I would have been thrilled to have my ike sync cords last 100 dives....I had my Ike d70 housing long enough to go on three shark trips. 1 to guadalupe and 2 with the Abernethys......I was having pretty consistent cord failure about every 1.3 days of diving....At a cost of $135.00 each, I was carrying 4 dual and 2 single sync cords just to get through a trip. In Ikes defense they were terrific about replacing the sync cords without question but it is quite frustrating to never know when the cord is going to fail but you know its coming.

I finally switched to a Sea & Sea housing and I kept the Ike stoobes...That means that I still have to use an Ike sync cord....to date with about 50 dives and thousands of pics no more sync cord failures.....

He makes a great product i just think that there is a serious design problem that needs to be adressed

That's good information to know Red 3. Thanks for sharing. I for one have stayed away from Ikelite because of this reason. Reliability is paramount if you spend most of your time on a liveaboard away from cililization...Iain
