  1. I've just come back from PNG - the best dive destination I've ever been to.

Many thx to Max Benjamin and Dik Knight.

  2. That is awesome photography, Darek. Very nicely done!

  3. Really nice, I love the split screen with the tank.

  4. Some of the nicest photos to come through here at Wetpixel, Darek. Congratulations!

  5. WOW factor :D:D Excellent compositions, subjects and lighting....well done

  6. I second Eric on that. These are some of the freshest and best photos I have seen lately. I'm reading about the battle for Rabaul and Guadalcanal right now, so the tank and the zero(??) are especially cool. Also, you don't often see a rhinopias, let alone a yawning rhinopias lionfish.

Also, Rand looks great in those yellow fins!

    Cheers

  7. Yep, that's a Zero. Great perspective on that shot as well. Truly classic images. Awesome work, Darek.

    What are you shooting with?

  8. Are those the 20mm cannons mounted in the nose?

  9. Thx, thx, thx :D I'm flushing....

I just wanted to share some of the greatest UW moments in my life. PNG is truly diving paradise. Eric you'll have great time there.

  10. I bow to your talent, impresive to say the least.

  11. Fantastic wide angle shots. Beautiful.

  12. The 20mm cannons were wing mounted, but the Zero did have two nose mounted machine guns that you can clearly see in the photo.

  13. Very inspiring photography. As I scrolled down I wanted to see more. I have to agree with Eric and James, these are some of the finest pics I've seen on Wetpixel. great work.

  14. Great shots, they take the step beyond "fish portraits" I seem to get in a rut taking. We will be spending Christmas in PNG! You have set the standard.

  15. Really excellent work, Darek.

Good to see you are still doing lots of black and whites.

  16. Excellent, amazing job, congratulations! The lionfish opening its mouth is very good , you've catched a great moment. Wide angles are impressive and so B&W are. Thanks for showing this wonderful job!

  17. Thank you :) Just one note that is lacy scorpionfish not lionfish :)

  18. I agree with all the above: great work. Would you care to elaborate on practical matters such as travel arrangements, cost etc for PNG? I considered going there some years ago but was adviced against it for security as well as cost reasons. Wearing my bulletproof vest seemed a less than desirable option while diving (though I guess that would've meant I could dive without weight belt... :) )

  19. Dude, that is some fantastic photography

Really like the touch of strobe light on the prop of the zero.

Also, shocked to see that Rand is actually a female who looks good in a bathing suit and yellow fins...bloody internet, people can get away with so much these days.....

  20. Very nicely done. Good composition that draws you into the photo. I always say, lighting a composition mastry will make you a GREAT photographer. It's not all about lighting, but the combination of how you compose an image. Together they are powerful tools.
