  1. Great stuff Herb, i really like the balance you were able to get on that first shot. What fstop were you using there? You were really able to light the shark quite nicely while still able to keep the burst relatively unobtrusive. Nicely done.

Cool shrimp too, able to get him to do some Dental work?

Thanks Mike. The settings were F/11, 1/320, 2 Inon Z220 full power.

Funny you asked about that shrimp and dental work. Also diving that site at the same time was Howard and Michele Hall working on their next IMAX film. Jim Abernathy and Michele came over just as I was done shooting these guys (there were 7 shrimps there), somebody later told me ( I think it was Todd ) that Michele unsecessfully tried to get one to work on her teeth.

  3. Nice shots, Herb.

Luiz Rocha has also recently posted his slides from Bali and I would say that you have captured better sunbursts with the 300D than Luiz got on film! So congrats.

Although I should add that Luiz shots are very nice too! I am just commenting on the often criticised digital sunbursts! :)

  4. Nice gallery too! I prefer the pose on this shrimp shot than the one you posted.

  5. Great! First photo is amazing, I really enjoy it! I like that shrimp, good macro shot. Grey sharks at your gallery have beautiful blue color and perfect lightning. And I liked specially this one :xCRW_0210.jpg with those reflections on surface.

    Nice job! :D
