This video is complied of garbage from this year's run... but it does show how pesky divers interact with baitballs and how the predators can be disrupted from feeding if certain precautions aren't taken (note to those going next year). Note the sound of the dolphins as they attack the balls. The sound compression has removed the thud of the diving gannets, you can feel the shockwaves of the entry in your organs!
You will need quicktime 7.0 and the ON2 codec to watch this vid(10MB):
I enjoyed that Drew.....thanks for posting.....nice footage

Heh,heh, cool footage. However, this is a lot better than trying to take picture of a whaleshark when there were a hundred divers in the water like at Koh Tao in Thailand

Ahhh the good old chumporn orgy... funny enough there was a whaleshark which all 300 divers went after and my buddy and I found a sailfish on the other side of the pinnacle.
However baitballs dissipate very quickly when the predators stop attacking. Next year I'm very tempted to try a rebreather again.
That was pretty cool. Thanks for sharing.

Funny you should mention that. We had a baitball for 38 mins where NOTHING attacked it. Just sardines. Divers can control a baitball, but it's the predators that make the baitballs interesting.
